Ask for documented mileage, not a guess.
A reputable seller can tell you the actual mileage the donor vehicle was showing when it was pulled, not a rough estimate. Low-mileage donor engines, particularly ones out of newer CR-Vs that were totaled in an accident rather than worn out, tend to have a lot of useful life left.
Get a compression check or a cold-start video.
